We did not arrive at the conclusion that God is the Source and Guarantee of all knowledge simply because it seemed like a good idea after drinking too much Communion wine one Sunday morning. Theism is offered as the only reasonable alternative to the ludicrous intellectual springe imposed by skepticism and the irrational certainty proposed by the ironically uncertain radical empiricist. The skeptic is an antagonist to knowledge, who flees in its wake.
