And, as they did, Korczak was by turns amused, surprised, and impressed by the things he learned about Borglum. He learned, for example, about Borglum’s unusal habit of walking into movie theaters without buying a ticket: We’d had dinner together at the Alex Johnson, and afterwards our wives went off somewhere to shop, so Borglum said, “Korczak, let’s step over to the Elks Theater and see a show.”
