This is not a god-of-the-gaps argument, in which God is posited for the lack of a naturalistic explanation. Rather, we appeal to God because of our positive experience that intelligent agents have the capacity for fine-tuning. The enigma of fine-tuning seems best understood as the work of a Fine-Tuner.
