Here is a checklist for you to decide if a company is a growth oriented one or not. Does it have a honest management that is beyond doubts and questions? Does the same management that loudly boasts good news, shares the bad news also with equal transparency? What is going to be the growth of the industry that this particular company belongs to? Is the management prepared to invent/embrace new technologies and introduce innovative products in the market? Is the research and development division doing something creative or it is simply wasting the allocated budget in the name of research? Does the company have an above average sales force? Even great products will remain unsold due incompetent sales division. Is the operating margin lucrative? What plans are carried out to maintain and improve this margin going forward? Is the relation between workers and management smooth? Do these two classes put together exhibit loyalty towards shareholders without any gimmicks? More importantly, will the company continue to grow without issuing additional shares? (means diluting)
