“Except, apparently it’s been so long, I bet you’ve forgotten how to eat out properly,” I responded without hesitation. “Want to find out? Because all that time without has left me with quite the appetite,”

And he noticed, unleashing whatever animal he’d had on restraint. His hand wrapped around the back of my neck, and he jerked me toward him, crashing his lips against my mouth.

“I’ll put you down right here if you don’t fix your attitude,” Griffin teased, and I rolled my eyes. “And don’t roll your eyes at me.”

“Quit acting like a horny teenager and ask something appropriate.”

I wish every day that passes here that I had been more of a man and simply told you what I’d felt before orders came in. I miss you.

What I’m trying to say is that I don’t really know what love feels like, but what I felt, and still feel for you, sure seems a lot like what I imagine it to be.

“By the way,” he started. “I like that hoodie of yours.” “Yeah, it’s pretty nice and comfortable,” I responded. “Where’d you get it? Because I’ve been trying to find mine for a while that looks exactly like that,” he asked, and I giggled. “I went to a cabin once with this guy that I really like. This was his, and it somehow accidentally ended up in my suitcase,” I groggily answered.

“So, can I have it back?” “Can I have my virginity back?”
