An arm, a very human arm, hooked around my body just before I went flying, slamming against my bedroom door. The shadowy figure held one hand on my throat, anchoring me to the bedroom wall, and the other hand covered my mouth, trapping my sounds of fear from escaping.  His chuckle was familiar, and with the dim light from the hallway illuminating the side of his face and naked chest, I knew exactly who it was before he ever spoke in his dangerous, lulling, melodic tone.  “Can’t keep my name off your lips, can you, Officer Lavita?”
