I cocked a brow at her, the image of her on her bed being so much more than “manhandled.”  She followed my gaze toward her bed and huffed.  Shrugging, I let go of her neck and plopped onto the springy mattress, her fluffy cat hopping up and sitting on my damn lap like he owned me. The thing was huge. He looked like he had eaten strays for breakfast. “What do you feed this thing? The sad little men who try to hit on you? Have you ever had a boyfriend before? Your file is pretty sad.”
