There must be some other existence for us. Humans can’t truly be gifted with a mind to wonder and create and yet be forced to live in an endless cycle of money and work.

He could have removed her heart without blinking, if he wished it. But he hadn’t… Even now, his true wrath stretched and enveloped her instead of cutting her down. For her.
“I hate you, Susenyos.” His brows melted into reverence as if she’d told him the opposite. “As long as hating me leaves you on my lap, I can bear it. Hate me for eternity.”
“The world loves to punish girls who dream in the dark. I plan to worship them.”
I was wrong. Death doesn’t hover above Kidan. She is the hand of death herself.
Kidan had done this to the others, dragged them to hell because of her guilt. Now she would watch them all die. Her tears pooled onto the floor, bleeding it a darker gray. Where was Kidan’s strength? She’d never felt her humanness so potently before now. So weak and fragile. How could she ever protect anyone like this?
