“My protection?” His fingers were still on her throat, not tight at all but warm, ready.
His finger ran down the side of her figure, the curve of her waist, parting her lips in a soundless gasp. “And what of this? Don’t you want to protect yourself from me?”
“I can have you on your knees every night if that’s my ask.”
First, he pleasured her with his tongue, making her speak with staggered breaths. This was dangerous.

She brought his mouth to her bare shoulder. “But you do drink from here, yes?”
“Because I couldn’t stop picturing your mouth on me.”
“As long as hating me leaves you on my lap, I can bear it. Hate me for eternity.”
“It’s a shame I can’t tell if that’s true or not. Even worse that I don’t seem to care much right now.”
“The world loves to punish girls who dream in the dark. I plan to worship them.”
