If I closed my eyes, I could easily fall back into my dream. Nightmare, I reminded myself. It was clearly a nightmare. One that started the moment I walked in and saw her at the ball, her gaze locking onto me like I was the scourge of the realm and she wanted nothing more than to rid our world of me.
