Fools do not understand patience or frustration. The righteous are not those who never get angry. But the righteous certainly are slow to anger. Men who are quick to anger have posted their mailbox by the road, a box which says “a fool lives here” (v. 9). A quick-tempered man is simply a walking display case of folly. “A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame” (Prov. 12:16).
