One hand cupped the back of my head as he hooked the other under my butt and lifted me up, pulling me onto his lap. My leg kicked the steering wheel, and I opened my eyes when something skidded along the window. I twisted backward to try and turn off the windshield wiper. “Sorry,” I muttered, as the blades flapped faster and water shot out, raining down on the front window. I leaned back, accidentally honking the horn, and the heat of his laugh tickled my neck. It beeped again, and I was on the verge of losing it when I hit the hazard button, still struggling to turn off the cursed wipers.
