May I remember each instant today that I am on this earth for one reason only: to love and be loved. May every thought be illumined by the remembrance of my cosmic function, and my behavior be guided by its wisdom.
Love requires a different kind of “seeing” than we’re used to—a different kind of knowing or thinking. Love is the intuitive knowledge of our hearts. It’s a “world beyond” that we all secretly long for.
on reclaiming our power
My disappointments are but temporary setbacks.
I will not allow my emotions today to fall into the valley of defeat because of a temporary setback. And all setbacks are temporary. My salvation lies not in an immediate change of circumstance, but in my ability to remain positive and optimistic during times of duress.
Dear God, I pray for all beings in the world today . . . For the happiness of all, The peace of all, The healing of all. I pray to be a person Who makes a difference somehow And helps heal the world. Amen.
Today I call forth my highest mission, by standing in the space of my highest self. As I do so, the universe arranges itself to pave the way for my highest performance in the world. I will naturally attract all people, all ideas, and all situations that make it so. Amen.
Today my path unfolds before me.
The universe is infinitely abundant, and so am I.
I am open today to receiving the abundance that is part of who I am.
FOR REFLECTION On Changing Your Mind If you think of yourself as being at the effect of a random universe that does not care about you, then you will experience your life that way.
If you think of yourself as being at the effect of a loving universe that does care about you, then you will experience your life that way.
When things in the world are troubling, my need is not to join in the chaos but to cleave to the peace within.
Relax… Nothing is in control.
The way to gain power in a world that is moving too fast is to learn to slow down. The only way to spread one’s influence wide is to learn to go deep. The world I want for myself will not emerge from electronic speed but rather from a spiritual stillness that takes root in my soul. Then, and only then, can I create a world that delights my spirit instead of one that shatters it.
May I be more sensitive today to those who could use a kinder word, an encouraging embrace, a sensitive listener to their story.
I take responsibility for the power of my mind today.
Dear God, May Your spirit overshadow my mind today And purify each thought of the ravages of fear. May the thinking of the world not tempt me away From the thought of love that is who You are. Amen.
Our power lies in meeting limited circumstances with unlimited thought. It is not what happens to us, but what we choose to think about what happens to us, that determines what will happen next.
