The real me cannot be rejected. If someone doesn’t see my beauty, it’s not because it isn’t there. If someone doesn’t appreciate my value, it’s not because I’m less valuable. My value—like everyone’s—is inestimable because my value is established by God. No one’s opinion can increase or diminish the truth of who I am. May I accept others as God accepts me. May no one feel rejected by me, that I might feel rejected by no one.
