and yes, a bonnet warmer. You haven’t lived until you’ve slipped a warm bonnet over a fresh twist down.
The idea of making new friendships as an adult sounded as appealing as detangling my hair with a fine-toothed comb. With everyone bringing their own bag of drama and prejudices, tiptoeing around them became a nightmare.
“Do not praise God when looking at my dick,” he ordered. “Oh, my… devil?” I frowned and forced my eyes away from his member to look up at him.
Moving like a calf fresh out the coochie,
People pleasing only hurts the one doing the pleasing.

My bonnet of course did not stay on my head. I swear, those things run for the hills the second you fall asleep.

He let me soak and sat next to me, quietly washing my body. Then—I almost lost it when he did this—he detangled and twisted my hair! I couldn’t believe it. This man, no, this demon, was gently combing my hair and putting in near-perfect two-strand twists while I soaked in a lavender-scented tub. It was too good to be true, but I didn’t fight it.
“You’re mine, and I want to take my time with what’s mine. I want to savor you, learn you, be everything you need me to be. Please, let me take my time with you.”
