“I don’t think you understand the gravity of what you’re doing right now. Can you handle the consequences?” The corner of his mouth lifts. “Are you asking if I can handle you?”

“I had it in my head since we were kids that you were mine. I’ve been in love with you since before I was old enough to know what love was.”

“We were kids Riv. I never expected you to take care of me.” He shrugs, “You cried when we first met, and I remember thinking I only wanted to see you smile. It stuck with me.”

“I’ll give you so many good memories there won’t be any room for the bad ones to exist.”
