Professor by Day, Hacking Goddess by Night.
Mikhail Romanov is a man that would stop at nothing to get what he wants.
“You're coming with me, little hacker. If you try to resist, I’ll punish you. Please, give me a reason. I’ve thought of nothing else since you left my office.”
I eye the beautiful woman lying in my guest bed. In a matter of hours, she’ll be my wife.
"You hacked into my computers. You came to me for assistance. You're on the run because you found out information that had nothing to do with you. Your life is worth nothing, because not only are you on the run from every major organization in this country, you also decided to pull one over on me. Your life belongs to me now.
“You have nothing to be ashamed of. You belong to me now, and you will not hide what belongs to me.”
“I will have you anywhere and everywhere I want.
“Tell me you’ll obey me, Aria,”
“There will never be a barrier between us. Ever. Marrying me was your first payment to me. The second will be bearing my child.”
I'm…pregnant. I'm having a baby. I'm not ready for this. It's not just that I'm afraid I won't be a good enough mother,
“You know that I love you. Do you know that, Aria?" There's a rare sincerity in his eyes, a vulnerability that makes me want to cry all over again. I nod and swallow. "I do,” I whisper. "And I love you. Do you know that?"
I thought he loved me, not just the idea of me.
I would’ve chased your shadow from the very first time I ever saw you. I would have reinvented myself, become the man you needed me to be just for the merest glimpse of your smile or a moment of your attention. I would have fought full armies for your favor and destroyed anyone or anything that pulled us apart. I would have razed the earth to clear a path to you and make you mine.”
“Aria, you opened the door to a world riddled with darkness and let the light in. You’ve given me a reason to hope. I love you for who you are and who I am with you.” He brushes his lips to mine. “I’ve lived many lives. But this one? This one is my favorite.”
