“So? A little daddy kink never hurt anyone.”
“She looks so goddamn gorgeous.” I start towards the door to go back inside. “I have to talk to her again.”
I run my fingers over my tie, remembering her compliment and I grin at Chris. “She said she liked my tie.” “Well, by all means, just propose to her now,” he jokes.
“Good. I would hate to have to fire anyone for not playing nice in the sandbox.” She laughs, but I’m not kidding; anyone that is rude to her is gone.
“You are stunning and brilliant and confident and you have this energy about you that I can’t get enough of. You consume my thoughts, Raegan.”
“You’re killing me, Raegan.” “My friends call me Rae.” “I definitely do not want to be your friend.”
“You’re out of your mind if you think I’m going to come before you do.”
“What’s so special about me?” I gasp as he moves lower to drag his finger along the top of my panties—so gently, I shiver in his arms. “Everything.” His voice is low and throaty and sexy as hell.
“You know, I’ve been thinking about something you said a month ago.” I narrow my eyes wanting him to go on. “About why I’m not married.” I nod, remembering. “I figured out why.” I run my fingers through his hair as I wait for his response. “So, I’d be available when you were ready for a husband.”
“I’m sorry, are you pregnant or nah? Sounds like a shotgun wedding to me.”
