With a nervous cough, I step away, but Roman’s arm whips out, and he grabs me by the waist. “Where do you think you’re going?” he says in a deep voice that sends shivers zipping up and down my spine. “Home?” I rasp. His eyes darken. “You’re going to stay here and finish what you started.”
Perfect. Absoultely so simple and yet so perfect. The author has already honed in on what she did well in book 1 and is upping the stakes I'm loving it.
