Well, to be entirely accurate, there are lots of ways we can kill ourselves that don't involve nuclear weapons. People never think about all the grad students trying to make Rosemary flavored chicken with gene therapy, or considering how to make a new base pair for DNA. And then there's global warming. Or massive pandemic spread nearly instantly with air travel. Lots of ways to kill ourselves. I hear that the CEO of Amazon is building a drone army, and experimenting with missile technology.
