“The first of many firsts I’ll take.” The look he gives me is almost feral and has a strange heat prickling my cheeks. His eyes begin to slowly trail down my front before Ezra reaches to his side and slaps Annex on the back of his head. Annex just grins as he rubs the spot. “Don’t get it twisted, brother, I can share…a little.” Ezra rolls his eyes, a scoff leaving his lips before they both share a strange look. Something unspoken yet quickly accepted between them. Annex turns his gaze back to me. “I’ll need a checklist, Red. I wanna take em’ all.” A checklist? For what? But before I can open my mouth to ask what he means, Ezra moves closer to me. He fixes his hold on my hand, lacing our fingers together. His gaze meets mine, and that strange new look takes hold of me as he opens his mouth. “I want in on that.” A genuine smile stretches his cheeks, his turquoise eyes bright and alluring. “Count me in.”

She’d have to bleach her cheeks from all the shit stains if you did.” Her two large partners flank her on both sides, covering my view completely of Xander and company as she continues. “I knew you were stupid, but who knew you were so vile?” “Morgan,” Seria says, “Xander was just defending me–” “From what?” Morgan snaps, and they all fall silent. “What happened for you to need to be saved?” She laughs darkly as she meets each frozen stare. “What? From a little fall?” She scoffs. “Fuck, you’re precious. How is your two left feet her fault?” Her head whips back to Xander. “Is she so precious that you become a witless dickhead with no eyes or ears?” There's no room for compromise with her tone, her voice cutting and cold as she continues. “Only a sloppy tongue wagging at the wrong one.”
