I want to make him happy, to protect him and keep him safe. He makes me want to be a better man. A better mate. A better alpha.
It's strange, thinking about how this little omega holds my entire world in his hands. When did that happen?

I pull the blankets up around us, wrapping my omega in warmth. He snuggles closer with an adorable little sound, almost a whimper.
"Hey, little omega," I say softly, like I'm talking to a feral cat. "Are you alright?"
His wolf is likely restless at the thought of being separated from his new mate for several days. And mine is, too.
I always did love the "touch him and die" trope.
My wolf is restless, pacing within me, furious at this unnatural separation from our mate. From the parent of our unborn pup.
