“Speaking of fucking, your new neighbor is over there looking at you like you’re his next meal.” “Literally. And not in the good way. He makes great white sharks seem friendly.”
“He’s not my type.” “Babe, that man is every woman’s type. Don’t try to lie to me and tell me you can’t hear your ovaries moaning.”
“Sorry, princess. If you’re looking for a knight in shining armor, you’re looking in the wrong fucking place.”
A one-sided, open-ended Q&A that repeats on a loop every waking hour, except you’re only talking to yourself and the answers never come.
“Interrupting me is one thing that will get you taken over my knee, beautiful girl. Sass is another.” He looks at my mouth and moistens his lips. Can you faint and still be standing up?
“I want everything you have to give, Natalie, for as long as you want to give it to me.”
I’m not sure how I feel about the whole ‘take you over my knee’ thing. I don’t like the idea of being spanked.” “What if I could guarantee you’d like it?” I resist the urge to roll my eyes. “That is so something a man would say.”
“A bad man would never warn a woman he wanted that he wasn’t good.”
“I’ll have to make you fall in love with me before I tell you all my darkest secrets.”
“Home can be a person, too. That’s what you are for me.”
“You bought me clothes.” He says it in a fervent tone of awe and wonder, like you’d say, “Heaven is real and I’ve seen it!”
They call him Reaper because of all the terrible things he’s done, but he’s still a man just like any other. He grieves. He bleeds. He’s made of flesh and bone.
“I’d impale whole armies on my sword if you asked me to.” She wrinkles her nose. “That won’t be necessary.” After a pause: “Do you even have a sword?” “Many, but they all fire bullets.”
Heaven itself couldn’t be more fucking perfect than this.
