Even while fussing, Hazel pulled me into a hug. I’d never tell my mama this, but Aunt Hazel’s hugs were easily the best in the family. No matter how mad she may be at someone, no matter how upset the person on the receiving end might be, no matter what the fuck may have been going on in the world, everything always got better whenever Hazel wrapped you up in her arms.
