I think she seared me that very first day…because I sure as hell wasn’t the same after her.
"Hot boys are mean. Nice boys are gay. The good ones are taken…" She trailed off before casting a fleeting glance around the room. "Every time I look around at the male student-body in this school, I consider becoming a lesbian."
Facebook was a lot like a fake tan; time consuming, completely pointless, and utterly addictive.
Apparently, half the school had labeled me a badass for taking on the infamous Noah Messina and the other half had labeled me bat-shit crazy. To be fair, I was probably a bit of both.
I couldn’t feel any pain in my head. I didn’t wipe away the blood that was trickling down my forehead. My complete attention was fixated on Teagan's face, and the fear in her eyes as she stood in the parking lot with her hand covering her mouth, watching us drive away.
"Is Teagan your weak spot?" "Look at me, Logan," I shot back, gesturing to my smashed up face. "What do you think?"
"The best part about reaching for the best part of you is that it's completely attainable because it's already inside of you." He winked at my confused expression. "You already have the key, Beautiful. Find the lock inside of you it fits. And the best part of it all is you're the only one with a key, therefore no one can take the best of you from you. It's yours. For keeps."
Noah was everywhere; dominating, giving, tormenting, tasting, taking. I completely submitted to his touch, my body trusting him completely.
There used to be only one thing that could scare the life out of me. The darkness. Now there was something else. The boy next door.
"Hate you? I'm fucking lost in you, Teagan," he hissed, and I think my heart stopped in my chest.
Every fiber of my being demanded I go into that kitchen and protect what was mine. And that's exactly what I did.
"How the hell did we get here?" "Get where?" Pressing his lips to my throat, Noah ran his tongue over my pulse. "To the point where I can't fucking breathe without you."
"You're my Thorn," he rasped between kisses. "If you leave me, I'll bleed out."
"I've risked too much to fuck this up on a tantrum, so if you've got an issue, Thorn, you better raise it with me because you're not walking away from me."
I needed to fight for Noah Messina just as viciously as he fought for his mom.
The past few months had been the best of my life and I wasn’t exaggerating or ashamed to admit I was head over heels in love with the girl next door.
Teagan called me treacherous, but she was the one who could shake mountains.
I loved her. I fucking burned for her. I would do just about anything to protect her, even if that meant I had to protect her from me.
