original Magical Courts of King Primus: Dread, Shadow, and Aterna.
the stunning emerald green stained glass of the far window and the serpent that ran through it, its fangs proudly poised to kill, which represented Dread Magic.
The window for Shadow Magic was comprised of sapphire panes scattered to create a burst of light, and on either side, two bright white feathered wings spread mightily open.
The symbol of Aterna Magic was the dragon. The violet and amethyst creature had its wings tucked tightly, a long tail snaking around it...

When his eyes landed on hers he spoke. “No one fights me quite like you do.” The words slipped from his mouth like it made him hungry. She grinned.
“Such a deadly weapon to be so soft.”
Mal leaned towards her, his lips close to her ear. “Perhaps that’s what I should refer to you as,” whispered Mal, “little viper.”
Beautifully done, Little Viper.
All the fortunes of the world couldn’t buy her loyalty. No offer of power could buy her love.
“They will not take you from me,” he assured her.
“I worship you.”
“I said, ‘Say that again,’ Sinclair.” Maeve swallowed. She obeyed. “I worship you.”
The sight of him on his knees was electrifying. Maybe it was just the dangerous way he looked up at her, like she was cornered prey and he was prepared to strike, that enticed her. Maybe it was something more.
“I want to feel you,” he murmured into her lips.
“I imagine worse things are said about me, and will continue to be.” Mal looked back down at her as she dropped her hands. “Not if they don’t have tongues.”
“You think you’re the victim in this tale, but you are the villain.”
The very definition of divine violence. And he had done it for her.
His eyes bore into hers with a lethal rage so calm it should have been unsettling. “You are mine.”
“I come willingly, My Prince.”
“You were made for me.”
“It feels like I have known you for a lifetime, and I am only just remembering.”
“It’s as though I’ve been suffocating and you are-” “The very air I need to breathe.” Maeve nodded and a small laugh of relief escaped her lips. “Like calls to like.”
“Because I’m yours.” Mal nodded serenely. “Because you are mine.”
“When it hurts,” continued Mal, “remind yourself who you belong to.”
“Beautiful is the lousiest and laziest compliment I could possibly get,” said Maeve. “Yes. Of course, I am. Do you have anything else that draws you to me? Besides my beauty and the fact that you cannot have the one you love? Is that enough for you to deny me the one I do?”
I can’t help but resent anyone who thinks all I have to offer is my looks.
“Very good, Little Viper,” said Mal, his face only inches from her own.
“I will gladly die a hundred deaths if it is he who breathes life back into me.”
“Does that please you?” He asked, his voice sensual and dripping with pride. “Very much, my Prince.”
Mine, it whispered. “Yours,” she replied.
“No, Little Viper. We are going to kill them all.”
