Suddenly he’s at my side, his hand on my elbow. He’s ushering me silently out of the main section of the church and toward the hallway where I know his office is. My heart is racing, and it almost feels like I’m in trouble, being marched off to the principal’s office. A moment later we’re in his office, and the door behind us is closed. Then I’m in his arms, pressed between his body and the heavy wooden door. We don’t speak before his mouth is on mine and his hands are on my hips.
