Meet Me on the Bridge

‘Spin the stone and make a change. Transform the world and rearrange.’

He feels like home – a favourite song I’ve listened to repeatedly, a much-loved book I’ve reread.

‘It’s incredible!’ I say, gasping. ‘What is?’ ‘Us. Our life together.’ ‘Of course it is,’ he replies. ‘It’s perfect. I wouldn’t change a single thing.’

‘Every decision we make, however small, has repercussions. Sometimes the knock-on effect is huge, but we don’t realise it yet.’
