Meet Me on the Bridge

I can’t face saying the answers out loud: I’m a coward who fears being left completely alone in the world.

‘We can find a pocket of happiness despite what’s happened to us and all the horrible things going on in the world.’

‘I figured that someone always gets hurt unless you opt out of the game.’

‘In all honesty, I don’t believe my life is worth more than the next person’s,’ he continues. ‘The world won’t stop rotating on its axis if I die. Life will go on. I won’t leave a huge mark.’

All I can say from my own experience is that you shouldn’t stay with someone simply because you’re afraid of the unknown. Sometimes the unexpected is wonderful, and it can change your life for the better.

When you meet that person, everything falls into place. They feel like home. It’s like returning to your favourite painting and loving each brush stroke all over again.’
