"Me?" he repeats, pointing to his chest, laughing. "If I was coming for a visit, it would be to see you. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm not really the subtle type."
"Don't stress. I'll take care of it. Under your bed, you say?" I nod slowly. "You'll take care of it?" He grins, outstretching his arms like some type of showman. "Of course I will. But just remember, you'll owe me one."
I have to hand it to them, no pun intended, but I like their style. Unless they are doing it as some type of sinister plot against Avery. In which case, they are going to have some problems. It's me. I'm the problem.
"Knock knock, little killer." "Grey?" she answers hesitantly through the abyss. "The one and only."
"You shouldn't be here," she says. "You'll get in trouble." I laugh, squeezing her leg lightly. "Baby girl, when are you going to learn? I'm in charge here."
My blood boils at her words. How dare she think that? Of course she blames herself. Absolutely typical symptom and characteristic of Avery. "Don't you dare," I warn her gently. "That is not your burden to bear. You're the victim.
"Now, I think we should have a discussion about what happened at the library." She tenses up but I don't move my hand. "Which part?" "The part where you kissed me," I casually point out. "I think we should talk about this." Avery squirms uncomfortably. "You're right. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done it." "No," I start. "You should have done it sooner. You deserve the finer things in life, and like I said, there's certain things I like to spoil."
"I'm not completely dense, Grey. I know there's more. I just haven't experienced it." I laugh. "That's what I'm here for, baby girl.
I hear her choke back words, fighting with the devil on her shoulder. But the devil on her shoulder isn't as strong as the one between her legs.
"Oh, God," she mutters breathlessly. "Fuck. Oh, God." "I'm your God now, little killer. And I'm your fucking Devil too."
"If you want. We don't have to do anything today. I just want to make sure you're comfortable. Because if I'm being honest, Avery, I'm addicted to you. And I have no intention of stopping. If that's okay with you, of course."
"You think I'm going to kill you?" he asks, wiping an imaginary tear away. "Aren't you?" I mutter. "Why else would you be here with that thing?" I let out a little yelp as Grey pushes me back into the shelves, caging me in. "Oh, no. You've got it all wrong. You'll be seeing Heaven, but not like that."
"You've got to relax, baby girl. Because when I finally claim you with my cock, you're going to take all of me."
"You're mine now," he whispers, increasing the pace of the shiv as it moves in and out of my body. "Your body is my territory, my sweet victory. Together, we'll rule the unhinged, little killer."
"Next time something is inside of you, it's going to be me."
"I'm not done with you yet," I say to her with a warning. "So, watch yourself, Avery. Because I'm the big, bad wolf you should be afraid of here."
"Baby girl, stop," he groans, grabbing me. "I didn't call you that because I thought you were a murderer when we met. I called you that because I knew you would be the death of me. But it's a sweet death, one that I welcome."
