What a good fucking girl you are. Spread these pages while you spread your legs. Let all the unhinged, depraved darkness out.
Sometimes you need to cut ties with people… And sometimes those ties are arteries.
Many people see me as the villain. And to that I say… then I'll be the fucking villain.
"I can't imagine why not," I reply sarcastically. "We're all mentally deranged, right?"
I guess we're all a bit fucked up though.
"Ahh," he says, nodding. "You want to stab me."
"What?" I hiss quietly, taken aback. "I'm not going to stab you." Grey leans back into his chair, relaxing. "But you thought about it. I like that."
Grey looks up, hearing me, giving me a big wave. "Little killer! You found a lost puppy, Damon." Damon scoffs. "Even a puppy has survival instincts. She's like a docile sheep."
This time it's my turn to laugh. "Please. I have no intention of engaging with anyone in that sense," I tell him, dryly. Table man holds up three fingers and I push off the wall, heading towards the doors. Behind me, Grey snickers, knowing I can still hear him. "We'll see, little killer. Everyone has urges."
feet. I may or may not have planned this, deliberately walking around barefoot to collect some delicious bacteria from the floors.
"How many seconds do you think it takes for a human heart to stop beating after it's cut out with a carving knife?" I ask him. Hallman trembles, eyes glassy as the wimp fights back tears. "I…I don't know." "We're going to find out if you don't leave the library in the next five seconds," I grin at him.
She's always so timid and frightened, and honestly, it makes my little black heart hurt a little. Who would be afraid of little old me?
It's unexpected but frankly, I think I might be fucking in love with her.
There's a fucking finger in a rose on my fucking desk.
"It's probably like a fucking tampon," I snap. "I've never tried flushing an appendage down the toilet, but something tells me it wouldn't work." Grey shrugs. "You'd be surprised."
"A dear friend of mine had a present in their room. A finger." He pauses, cigarette poised between his fingers. "A fucking finger?" I nod. "Just a casual courting gift. I'm going to deal with the appendage but I'm trying to find the owner first. You know, to figure out if it was a self-present or one taken."
He looks at my pocket, the demons obviously winning. "It was Theo Ashwood." Theo Ashwood. Well, that wasn't on my bingo card for this week. Interesting.
Until Avery… She's full of surprises. I don't think she realizes her power and her aura. She seems to think she's some broken little soul, but she's much more than that.
"You're right. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done it." "No," I start. "You should have done it sooner. You deserve the finer things in life, and like I said, there's certain things I like to spoil."
"Are you going to fuck me?" "Not today, little killer," I answer reassuringly. "I just want to show you that there's more on the table to offer than what you know."
God — the hold this girl has over me. Damon is right, she's pulling me in so quickly. But I want to fall, I want to drown in everything about her. I don't care if it kills me. It would be the ending of all endings — a fitting demise for somebody like me.
But honestly, all I need is her pleasure. Her pleasure is my pleasure.
"Oh, God," she mutters breathlessly. "Fuck. Oh, God." "I'm your God now, little killer. And I'm your fucking Devil too."
And it's at this moment, I realize I'm never letting her go. Now that I've tasted her and heard the sounds she makes when her world falls apart in the best way, she's mine. Avery is fucking mine.
"I don't bite, little killer. Let's just hang and catch up."
"You think I'm going to kill you?" he asks, wiping an imaginary tear away. "Aren't you?" I mutter. "Why else would you be here with that thing?" I let out a little yelp as Grey pushes me back into the shelves, caging me in. "Oh, no. You've got it all wrong. You'll be seeing Heaven, but not like that."
"Please. I'm fucking turned on. Do you have any idea how hot it was? Not only did you actually do the task, but you mouthed off at Damon. I had a hard-on for the rest of the day."
"You've got to relax, baby girl. Because when I finally claim you with my cock, you're going to take all of me."
"Your body is my territory, my sweet victory. Together, we'll rule the unhinged, little killer."
"Next time something is inside of you, it's going to be me."
Curiosity gets the better of me, and I lean down, grabbing a piece of paper from the ground. It's fairly faded, like it's been printed on the world's worst printer, but the words are unmistakable. It's me… My name is plastered on the top of the paper. As I scan the contents quickly, it dawns on me what I'm reading. Leaning down, I scoop up more pieces, hoping that this is just a nightmare, but when I check the others, it's all from the same document. It's my fucking patient file.
If you put us side by side, she's a fallen angel and I'm the monster lurking in the shadows.
Fuck. Maybe she's not a fallen angel after all, because she's tempting me like a snake with an apple.
Except, I don't know who I am. I just had sex with Theo in a fucking morgue. I promised myself that when I was ready to give myself to someone willingly, it would be romantic.
God. I have some balls on me today. Who knew that having someone balls deep in you would make you grow your own?
"Baby girl, stop," he groans, grabbing me. "I didn't call you that because I thought you were a murderer when we met. I called you that because I knew you would be the death of me. But it's a sweet death, one that I welcome."
"Oh, really?" he asks, smirking. "Do I make you feel things, baby girl?"
"Don't tease me, little killer. I could take you right here, right now."
I love Grey. I fucking love him.
I shut up, realizing there's very little I can do to save this situation. I'm losing him… No. I've already lost him.
"I loved you, Avery," he says quietly. "But not anymore."
"I think this goes without saying, but your membership has been officially revoked. If you come near Grey again, I'll be happy to show you why he calls me Deadman."
Grey has left me. And it's all my fault.
It was the black ink on his face in the shape of Theo's fist that has been permanently engraved into his skin forever.
"Avery Elizabeth White, you are under arrest for the murder of Samuel Joseph Hallman. You have the right to remain silent…"
