but society lies to women when it says they can have it all. A family, a career, success at home and success in the workplace. You can’t. At least not all at the same time.
A job? Yes. That I could’ve had. But that’s not what I wanted. I wanted to make my mark. I wanted to build something bigger than myself. That didn’t leave a lot of room for anything or anyone else.
For me, the second I met that man, I knew I would never love anyone else.
