“Hello!” Violet cried. “Hello!” Klaus yelled. “Shalom!” Sunny shrieked.
Stop waiting! Stop war! Stop injustice! Stop bothering me!
There’s not a day I don’t think of her! Aye! Except some days when it slips my mind!”
“Aye, and then what’s-his-name, Jacques’s brother,
We must stop occasionally for a brief snack!
We don’t have time for you two to do all that flirting, either!” “We’re not flirting!” Fiona said. “We’re having a conversation.” “It looked like flirting to me,”

“We didn’t lose our family,” Violet said. “Only our parents.”
“I can set a course,” Violet said, “and Klaus can read the tidal charts.” “Serve cake,” Sunny said.
“On three,” Sunny said, which meant something like, “After I say one and two.”
“Or maybe Quigley just wanted to write my name.”
