And of course, fairy tales are fiction. Always. Well, except for this one.
“Mom, I’m scared.” “I know, Emmielou. But scared is a feeling, not an excuse.” All right. She would do it scared then.
When you read fairy tales, you’ll learn fast there are only two types of mothers you’ll meet in those stories. One—good and dead. Two—bad and alive.
“I don’t know what’s worse, that he doesn’t remember I’m in love with him or that he doesn’t remember he was in love with me.”
and she had to wonder…was the world singing because the sun was rising, or was the sun rising because the world was singing?
