The one thing about dates with Halle versus every other date I’ve been on is I don’t want them to end. With everyone else, I’ve looked forward to going home—alone or to hook up. With Halle, even though it’s not strictly a real date, I want it to keep going.
“What’re you daydreaming about?” You. Always you.
“What would you do? If you wanted to charm me?” “I’d tell you how fucking beautiful you are. That when you laugh I want to listen to it forever. I’d tell you that when I daydream, I think of us. And all the things I want us to do. And all the things I want to do to you.”
“Show me how you want me to touch you, Halle.”
“You’re my lucky charm. I told you: science.”
“You’re my perfect canvas, Halle. Every part of you. But good to both of those things. I like your body, too, and I like being the only one to see it.”
“I’ve wanted to get on my knees for you from the second you walked in, but it wasn’t because of your dress. It’s because of how much I like making you come.”
This might be my favorite romance book, but we’re my favorite love story. Yours always, Henry
