I was being fully seen for who I was, for who my ancestors were, for where I came from, for what I cared about. It was a feeling that was certainly worth enduring alcoholic crew members and overeager security guards to experience, and one that, as soon as the show ended and we flew on to the next destination, I was immediately eager to feel again.
