Bless the magic beans that promoted life and goodness. Bless it.
“You are not allowed to go buy me something outrageous because I made you happy.” “Why are you so mean?” Zander whined.
Oh god, the cuteness. The cuteness was overwhelming. Was it possible to die from cuteness?
“I know I just made you happy, but whatever you have on your mental list to buy me—delete it. Now.”
“Don’t whine at me. You don’t need to reward me every time I please you.”

Whatever higher thought process Max still had decided to leave for the equator.
“I will definitely make phone calls. I have allies and I am not afraid to use them.”
“You cannot distract me with food.” Max’s stomach rumbled in petulant protest.
“Instead of seeing it as me spoiling you, think of it as me competitively compensating you for the delight you provide.”
Was his limiter broken when he was turned? Was that what happened, the thing that enabled him to make sensible choices is now defunct?”
“I hope you continue to drive me crazy for a few hundred years more. I won’t accept anything less.” It was such a Max-like declaration of love. “I love you too.”
Max liked the idea of ‘leveling’ very much. Whoever said that violence solves nothing clearly had never had to deal with the VSB or this bitch before.
Vanessa from the house of Fuck Around had not so cordially invited Max in for tea at the house of Find Out. If that tea was poisonous to her, so be it.
“You’re not leaving my side for a long while. So best call me glue.”
“Just don’t actively hover, okay?” Zander lit up in a smile and leaned in to kiss him. “Aww, you do love me after all.” He’d just taken ten miles anyway, hadn’t he? Dammit.
