It’s been two days since I’ve closed my eyes. It’s nothing new to me, but if I thought not sleeping in her presence was bad, her absence burns a lot hotter.

I don’t care about what the papers say. Esmeray was and still is my wife, and until I get her back, I won’t stop looking for her.

“No, it’s because of what I feel for you, my love. You’re my ray of sunshine, and I wasn’t kidding when I told you that. I’m so sorry for what I’ve done to you. You should’ve never gone through that. You’re my wife.”

“You said I’m your wife, but I’m not anymore, Kai." Esmeray looks down at her feet, biting the inside of her cheek. “Papers don’t lie, my love,” I say and reach out to my back pocket, then show her the new papers.

“Don’t ever mention his name again, my love. You can always redo it.”

“We’re made for each other, Ray,”

“You’re mine. All mine,"

“I want everything of you. I want everything that means having you as my wife. Your love, your smiles, your tears, your pain, your kids.”

“I’m all yours, Kai Graves. And you are mine."

“I’ve been meaning to tell you this, but then my father died and then Carter got you…” His voice gets lost a bit at the reminder of his father’s death, and my skin feels a breath of cold air washing by. It’s quick but definitely noticeable. “It doesn’t matter. I know you spent two horrible weeks, and I don’t know if telling you this is the right thing. Maybe you’re confused. Fuck, maybe I shouldn’t even let you sit naked on your desk, but if it’s what you want, I want you to know what I feel about you.”

“I love you, Esmeray Graves.”

“I love you, Kai Graves, and I’m glad you hit me with your car.”

“You are so wet, my love,” he says with his grave tone. “So wet.”

“I love you,” he whispers. “I love you,” I reply, tears glistening in my eyes.

Making love to my husband is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, and the realization about what my life was supposed to be and the reality it is hits me hard.

Because I’ve never dreamed about living such a beautiful life, and yet I am. All thanks to the man who would turn the world upsid...

He is my happiness.

“How long have they been waiting?” “Two hours,” he says, and I instantly wake up to my senses, pushing him away and grabbing a white dress. “What? Kai!” I say while I throw his shirt off me and replace it with the dress. “You can’t do that.” He steps closer, his hands in his pockets. “Yes, I can, and I did.”

“I can’t get enough of you,” he tells me through kisses.

“She just acted like she didn’t until I found a conversation on her phone with a girl at school and made her tell me every curse word she knows,” Kiaran says. “It was a loooong and creative list, I tell you that.” “Lacey,” my husband says. “You’re not allowed to spend time at Kiaran’s place anymore.”

“I’m sorry," I whisper in her hair, kissing the top of her head, and Raven comes behind her, caressing her sister’s back. My wife shakes her head, one of her hands caressing my cheek. “Don’t be.” She smiles, even if it’s shaky. “They were never my family.” Esmeray gulps, looking around. “You are.”

Being in love is a strange feeling. Not because of the way it manifests, but because of how long it lasts and burns if you’re with the right person.

I savor each second I spend with Kai. My husband.

Since we found each other, Kai has never stopped surprising me, and I never stop finding new things about him.

“You did this, my love,” he tells me, his lips moving to my ear, and of course, my body instantly replies to his command and pushes further into him. “I’m so fucking proud of you.”

“When are you going to give me a little Harry?” my husband asks, and I lift my head up, looking at him before I burst out laughing. “What?” I shake my head, my laughter not fading at all. “Nothing. It’s just that you held Harry for two minutes, and you' already have baby fever.”
