Necromancy. Resurrection is against The Monarchy’s law. And the one subject not encouraged at Silvercrest…necromancy.
The color has gone from his face, his jaw is slack, and the truth flickers in his gaze. I wasn’t lying, I have magic, and as scary as it is to say, I’m a necromancer.
“I couldn’t sleep knowing I was only breathing because of you. I couldn’t sleep because you weren’t close enough. I couldn’t sleep…because despite how much I want to hate you, I can’t.”
“It’s more than just us now, Brax. It’s Raven too, and I’ll do whatever is necessary to keep her protected. Even from you.”
“Do you want to spread my legs wide open and eat me out on the table for everyone to see, Eldon?” The purr from her lips stuns me, my eyes fixed on her mouth as I nod. “Do you want to feast on me? Make me yours in front of the whole academy?” “Fuck yes.”
“I can see the change in your eyes, a sense of distress like never before. Your secret is safe with me. Take a deep breath, gather yourself, and remember what I said. Follow the sun, destroy the shadows, and survive another dawn.”
“You heard me, Raven Hendrix. I wouldn't go all crazy over a girl, give her the housemate handbook and fall fucking hard for her if she wasn't incredible. Magic or not, you’re everything. But I’m not shocked to learn that you’re a badass fucking necromancer, just like you’re a queen at everything else.”
