Even less is known about the Acre geoglyphs, though; the first article in a professional journal about them did not appear until 2007 (Ranzi was a co-author). Five years later, archaeologists remained unsure of the answers to such basic questions as where the geoglyph builders lived—the structures show no sign of habitation.
