Their grandmother is being taken away from them. The resentment I have for ALS is real and it's rough. My mother did not get to enjoy her “golden years” the way she should have. She didn't get to travel and have new experiences. I didn't get to go shopping with her for orthopedic shoes. My kids didn't get to have sleepovers at Grandma Davis's or weekend adventures together. My mother won't be able to see them graduate high school, get married, or see how unique and terrific they will become as adults.
