The map might say we’re on a mountain in Tennessee, but for the first time in my life, I could swear I’m in heaven.

You asked me what I’d want on my Christmas list, and it would be you and me…seeing if this is real.”

“You made me realize what I’m missing in my life: someone who gets me. Yeah, we seem to be opposites, but we aren’t. You love to cook, and I like to watch you. You’re bratty and I adore it. I’m a hockey player, but really, I think you respect the game. You get it. You know how hard I work and how much my injury drives me nuts.”

“We both lost some of our love for the holidays because of our pasts, but I like to think spending time with you in the cabin has brought so many feelings of, shit, I don’t know, love back into my life. Yeah, it snowed a lot, and we argued a lot, but I wouldn’t change any of it.” He scuffs at the ground in his sneakers. “I like bickering with you.”
