Sea of Tranquility

he falls prey to a personal weakness he’s been aware of all his life: Edwin is capable of action but prone to inertia.

If there’s pleasure in action, there’s peace in stillness.

There’s a low-level, specific pain in having to accept that putting up with you requires a certain generosity of spirit in your loved ones.

I think, as a species, we have a desire to believe that we’re living at the climax of the story.

This was probably true for me when I was younger, but I'm happy to realize this doesn't ring true for me today.
