“I don’t want to imagine a life without you. You were meant to be here, Raven. You will realize that one day.”
Until this moment, this second, I hadn’t realized that I had been looking for her my entire life.
“You’re my heaven.” He found my collarbone. “You’re my hell. And I want to burn in you.”
“I have to become your villain, baby,” I whispered as my voice broke.
I wanted him, needed him, but despised him. And that only made me want him more.
Just like how my heart bled for him. I was his rose, and he was the very thorn that pierced me.
He took my heart with him. It was time to see who I was without one.
You always love me best in the dark, she had told me, and it was because I wanted to cloak her like the night star surrounded the stars.
“I inhabit you,” I continued, keeping my hand where it was but circled until I stood behind her. “In every breath you take, in every thought you have, I’m there, Raven.”
“My heart beats because of yours.”
Before I closed my eyes, another star shot past. “Wish for something, baby.” I started to drift, but before I fell into a deep sleep, I could’ve sworn I heard him say, “You.”
“you are the feeling I get when new flowers bloom. You are the sound of trees in my forest.”
you weren’t a question, you were my answer.
