But the moment my lips touched his skin, Lucien frozen in place. His jaws locked, eyes closed, and it didn’t even look like he was breathing. I knew it had been a mistake to kiss him even before his eyes opened again. No color was left in them at all. They were completely black. “Don’t ever do that again,” Lucien whispered—slowly, as if he wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a single word. More blood rushed to my cheeks. My stomach twisted and turned a thousand ways.
“Be a good girl for me and spread your legs,” he said against my lips. “I just need a little taste. You won’t regret it.”
Lucien chuckled as he skimmed through the pages. “This is porn in words.” I grinned. “And? Some people watch theirs. I read mine.”
I had this overwhelming need to tell him everything because I knew he’d believe me. I knew he’d know exactly what to do. But…it wasn’t true. If he knew who I really was, he would kill me. If he knew who I really was, he would never tell me that he was mine again. It would be over.
