As I walk through the crowded streets back to my apartment, I realize something—I’ll never be good enough for wizards, and I’ll never be normal enough for humans. I’m not good enough for either, which can only mean one thing—I’ll stop dating. I’m done with men. Yes, at the ripe age of twenty-nine, I’m saying goodbye to romance. It’s not worth the pain.
“Nana always said that cities were only good for two things—” We say in unison, “Forgetting who you are and where you come from.”
In my opinion, those who dislike puppies and kittens as well as nonreaders are without souls.
