“So you are aware as well, this will also be the only time you are ever allowed to touch him again, so you might as well get it out of your system now, pet,” he purred before lifting his glass to his lips. “Perhaps you need another drink.”
“Trust me, friend. Don’t do it, no matter how badly you want to,” Walter warned again sternly.
Eli was my hero; he always had been. Mendax was my villain, and he always would be.
