"Sorry?" I echoed, my voice filled with incredulity. "Olivia, I’m the one that’s sorry. Because clearly I’ve been doing a shitty job of showing just how much I love you. You're not a burden, you're my everything. Everything,” I repeated fiercely. “I breathe for you. I covet you. I spend every second of every day thinking about you. A burden?” I scoffed. “The way I love you goes beyond any love story you’ve ever heard. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to keep you. I burn for you, in the way that only someone can when you’re holding a piece of their soul.”
“If you can believe anything I say, believe this, angel. I will never let you go.”
"You want me to marry you?" she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. I couldn't help but smile at her, my heart soaring at the sight of her tear-streaked face. "Actually, I’m telling you that you are. I'll give you lots of choices in life," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, "but not this one."
If this was a dream, it was one that I never wanted to wake up from. I would have gone through a million years of misery as long as I ended up with him.
