“Very nice, Disney,” Ari screamed. “Good fucking boy.” Praise kink unlocked. I’d have to examine that later.
“Wow,” he murmured, and I ached, because maybe a part of me had just fallen in love with the sound of his voice.
“So what happens next?” I asked tentatively.
I marry you. That was the first thing that popped into my fucking mind when she’d asked that.
“Lincoln’s still on the phone?” “I’ve hung up five times,” Lincoln growled through the speaker. “But he keeps on texting me 9-1-1, and I keep thinking you’ve been arrested or something.” Awww. I was a little emotional. I think Lincoln Daniels likes me.
“You’ve been to one of my shows?” He blushed. “I might have watched all of the performances that I could find online, just so I could feed my addiction.”
But if you weren’t crazy in love…were you actually in love? Food for thought for all the haters.
Suddenly, a small smile crept across her lips, and the next second a giggle slipped out. “Um, you really like me…don’t you?” she finally said, before a few more adorable giggles filled the air.
I wasn’t sure how to describe the feeling I was experiencing at the moment. Ecstatic? Gleeful? Melty inside? Definitely that last one.
“That’s how it’s done, Disney. True ‘Circle of Trust’ behavior right there. I mean, you might get suspended for threatening to end someone in a nationally syndicated program…but that is how it’s fucking DONE,” Ari whooped as he skated by.
Monroe and Lincoln were intense together and it made me wonder what Walker and I looked like to other people. I kind of hoped we looked similar, like we were in our own little world.
I took a mental picture of his face. The pure elation written across his features. Elation that he’d created something with me.
“It’s called manifestation, angel face. And I…happen to be a master at it.”
“Only a person without a mother could understand how much a child needs one. Only a person who’s been broken can fully understand how to make someone whole. Only a person who has been without love can understand why it’s so necessary. Only a person who’s had to fight for their life could understand how precious it is. Our baby is going to have the most perfect mother in the world because you know all of those things, and you’re going to give our baby everything you didn’t have.”
I would just like to say that I haven’t officially endorsed the idea of a taco truck. I’d like entry into the circle of trust before I make that kind of commitment.
“Walkie-poo, tell this fine lady that I’m allowed to talk to your wife. She’s already pregnant. There’s not much I can do.” Walker rolled his eyes at his brother. “Sorry, the last time you hugged my wife, it lasted five seconds. That should last you for the next five years.”
