When Does Life Begin?

I don’t know how long we stare at each other, but when Kolton’s other hand falls to rest on my thigh, I want to jump out of my skin. He inches closer, and I close the distance between us and kiss him with everything I have.

I looked up, and then he was kissing me. I knew it was a mistake, but I was suffocating, and he had the only oxygen in the room.
